About Darwin

The Studio

I’m Darwin Hiller, founder of UAV Designer Media. I was adopted from Chiquimula, Guatemala, and my Indigenous roots are an important part of how I see the natural world. They’ve shaped my respect for the land and my belief that the places we build should have a meaningful relationship with their environment.

A visit to Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay showed me what that reality could look like in practice. Seeing architecture, landscape, and technology come together on that scale inspired me to study landscape architecture. I earned my Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Ball State University in 2026, with a growing focus on how visualization can help people understand a place before and as it changes.

Through landscape and design-build work, I’ve learned how much thought goes into shaping a place: how people move through it, how planting changes it over time, and how a design responds to its surroundings. I love the creative side of that work, especially building 3D models and artistic visualizations that let others experience an idea before it exists.

That passion led me to drone technology. An aerial view can reveal relationships that are difficult to see from the ground, while animation and interactive 3D views can make a landscape proposal easier to understand. I founded UAV Designer Media to bring those tools to the architecture, engineering, and construction industry—capturing real places and creating visuals that help teams share their ideas and document how projects change over time.
